Nidaime means “Successor” or “Second Generation.”

Nidaime Akira Nakamura, son of Kaicho Tadashi Nakamura, is the designated successor of Seido Karate and one of the Chief Instructors at Seido Honbu, New York.

Before committing fully to Seido, Nidaime completed a university degree in Architecture, bringing a thoughtful, analytical perspective to his teaching and leadership.

Having grown up immersed in Seido Karate, he combines:

  • Traditional Japanese values
  • A deep understanding of American culture
  • A forward-looking vision for the future of Seido

In his own words:

“I see my role in the World Seido Karate Organization as not only bridging the nuances of East and West, but also connecting the past with the future — all while staying in the present.”

Nidaime’s leadership ensures that Seido Karate remains true to its roots while continuing to evolve thoughtfully for future generations.
